The principal of St George Girls High School, Ms Romeo, is responsible for fostering a nurturing learning environment where students can thrive. She leads the school's strategic vision in alignment with the NSW Department of Education's priorities and works collaboratively with staff and the school community to cultivate a positive, high expectations school culture. Ms Romeo's strategic leadership is vital in guiding the Executive Leadership team and teachers, ensuring that every student reaches their full academic potential through continuous growth and improvement.
Deputy Principals: Ms Pam Abson and Mrs Amber Housego
The deputy principals at St George Girls High School, Ms Abson and Mrs Housego, play a key role in promoting the school’s strategic vision and enhancing its culture of excellence. They work alongside the principal, staff, and community to maintain a positive school environment that is committed to continuous improvement. Each deputy principal oversees specific portfolios, including teaching and learning, curriculum, school operations, wellbeing, professional learning, teacher accreditation, and comprehensive academic, social, and emotional programs. They also lead three cohort teams to effectively monitor and support student academic performance and wellbeing.
Faculty Head Teachers
The head teachers at St George Girls High School are integral to driving teaching and learning excellence. As part of the Executive Leadership team, they demonstrate educational expertise as leaders of teaching and learning in their faculty. Head teachers lead their teams to accurately report on student learning progress and work collaboratively with teachers to develop, enhance and deliver innovative teaching and learning programs that enhance student experience and maximise learning outcomes.
