Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) and Mothers' Committee. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) and Mothers' Committee

St George Girls High School is supported by two key parent/carer bodies: the Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) and the Mothers’ Committee. This partnership is fundamental to fostering effective communication and collaboration between parents/carers and the school. In 2025, both committees will combine their meeting times to enhance their joint efforts in building a sustainable model for parent/carer engagement with the school.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The P&C and Mothers’ Committee work closely with the school’s Executive Leadership team and staff to create the best educational environment. Their collaboration focuses on enhancing school facilities, programs, and opportunities for students.

Both committees play a vital role in consulting on school procedures and management, serving as a forum for regular communication between parents/carers, executive staff, teachers, and the school community.

The Mothers’ Committee manages the Uniform Shop, which operates from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Wednesdays during the school term, along with special trading days such as Year 7 Orientation Day. Parents/carers are encouraged to volunteer, and inquiries can be directed to Uniform Manager Mandy Nguyen at sgghsuniform@gmail.com

Annually, both the P&C and Mothers’ Committee contribute funds to support school community projects and acquire necessary equipment and resources.
