Technology and Learning

All students in Years 7 - 12 are expected to bring to school a personal computing device (laptop or tablet) to assist and complement learning. The specifications for these devices are available below.

When choosing a laptop or tablet for your daughter it very important that you choose a device which meets the technical specifications to connect to the Wi-Fi network provided by the NSW Department of Education. The software and hardware specifications are very important for these devices so they can be effectively used in class and can connect to the SGGHS BYOD wireless network.

Our Information Technology Policy is provided to all new students and parents. Students and parents sign an agreement relating to the use of all information technology at St George Girls High School. This acceptable use agreement applies for the duration of a student's enrolment at St George Girls High School.

Assistance is provided on how to connect the device to the school internet and how to access and install the software that is provided for students free of charge. This assistance is available in the library.

Software for Students

 
Google Suite and Microsoft 365
 
Students can access Google Suite for Edcation and Microsoft 365 through the Launchpad section of their Department of Education Portal account. 
 
Adobe Creative Cloud for Students
